Today, Andrea Campbell for Attorney General released its first television ad, “Above the Law”, with a media buy that includes broadcast television, cable television and streaming services. The ad is expected to hit screens on Tuesday morning.
In the new :30 second spot, Campbell speaks directly to voters about her commitment to hold the powerful accountable. Emphasizing her understanding of the challenges families face everyday, Campbell specifically calls out how she will expose price-gouging, hold those who misuse taxpayer dollars accountable, and crack down on corporations that pollute our communities.
The ad features Campbell’s 4 year old son, Alexander; both he and her 2 year old son, Aiden, are a driving force behind Campbell’s belief that every child deserves a fair shot to succeed and thrive in a safe, healthy community.
Campbell’s ad buy is powered by thousands of grassroots supporters, who have invested in her grassroots campaign. It’s a stark contrast to one of her opponents, Shannon Liss-Riordan, who is expected to pour millions of her own personal fortune to keep her ads up on TV.
Today’s announcement builds on Campbell’s grassroots momentum headed into the September primary. Just last week, Campbell secured the endorsement of the SEIU State Council representing more than 115,000 workers in Massachusetts. She has also received the endorsement of the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of Massachusetts, EMILY’s List, and members of the congressional delegation, including Senator Ed Markey, Congresswomen Ayanna Pressley and Katherine Clark, and Congressman Jake Auchincloss and Stephen Lynch.
