NEWTON – Today, Congressman Jake Auchincloss, who represents Newton, Brookline, Attleboro, Fall River, Taunton, and the rest of Massachusetts’ Fourth Congressional District, endorsed Andrea Campbell for Attorney General, citing her commitment to sensible gun-reform, leadership in the push to protect and expand access to reproductive care, and belief in our shared democratic values.
“Andrea Campbell has the experience and the vision to be a terrific Attorney General,” Congressman Auchincloss said. “In Washington, we’re fighting against a cyclone of NRA zealots, anti-abortion crusaders and democracy deniers. Andrea will continue Massachusetts’ proud tradition of national leadership in defense of equal justice under the law. She is the right choice for Attorney General.”
Representative Jake Auchincloss is serving his first term in Congress, where he is the Vice-Chair of the Financial Services Committee and a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. He is focused on bringing new, innovative leadership to DC to lower costs for working families.
“I’m proud to have the support of Congressman Auchincloss. At a time when the Supreme Court is rolling back our civil rights it is critical for state and federal officials to collaborate and stand up for the rights of Massachusetts residents, and I look forward to partnering with him as the next Attorney General,” Campbell said.
